Although our facilities are air-conditioned, we wanted to communicate our procedures ensuring the health and safety of campers, staff, and volunteers when a Heat Warning is issued:
- Limiting or pausing outdoor activities that take place in direct sunlight by moving them indoors or in our shaded areas as appropriate.
- Additional frequent reminders to campers, staff, and volunteers about hydration and sun protection.
- Close monitoring of campers for any signs of heat exhaustion.
