Design and build your own robotic arm—then put it to the test with customized challenges! From 3D designing mechanical parts to building electronic circuits, students will create a fully functional robot they can control to complete interactive tasks.
This course introduces students to key maker skills, including digital design, mechanical engineering, and electronics. Students will explore 3D modelling to design and 3D print custom grippers and components for their robotic arm.
They will also learn about microcontrollers, servo motors, and circuits as they assemble and wire the electronics in their project. Through hands-on building and game-based challenges, students gain confidence in using tools like microcontrollers, screwdrivers, and 3D printers—all while discovering how mechanical and digital systems come together in real-world robotics.
