Employment Type: Full-Time, contract
Working Hours:
Mandatory pre-camp training dates: June 22, 26, 27, (10:00am-4:00pm)
Camp dates: July 1 – August 23 (8:45pm – 4:00pm)
*Camp will operate on Canada Day (July 1st), but not on Civic Holiday (August 5th)*
Contract Salary Range: $575 – $625/week
We are looking for a creative and experienced Videographer to join our Summer 2024 camp team. The videographer will storyboard, capture and edit video content to be used for marketing and internal communication. They will report to the marketing coordinator and directors in terms of the video direction and work with the leadership team across all three camp locations to coordinate times to shoot video footage. They will spend the pre-camp season storyboarding, creating scripts, and recording videos, and the camp season filming primary and b-roll footage for the videos and editing.

- Has working experience with videography
- Has a friendly outgoing personality that helps staff and campers feel comfortable
- Not scared of joining conversation uninvited and introducing themselves
- Has experience working with children
- Is flexible and adaptable
- Possesses excellent time management skills
- Is able to take positively take feedback to make edits
Role & Responsibilities
- Storyboard content for marketing videos
- Create detailed shot list in advance based on storyboard
- Coordinate with leadership team across camp sites to schedule and plan times to film content
- Create scripts to be used for video narration
- Record and film audio and video
- Edit video content
- Check in with supervisors (marketing coordinators, directors) throughout project milestones
- Examples of project deliverables: 30s cinema advertisement, end of summer staff video, STEAM summer camp promo video, site tours
Requirements
- Has experience in videography with examples of previous work/portfolio.
- Owns their own video equipment (eg. video camera, mic, gimbal, tripod, various lenses)
- Is proficient with video editing software (i.e. Premiere Pro)
- Has an eye for colour, composition, and videography techniques
- Has excellent written communication skills
Considered an Asset:
- Previous camp or recreation experience
